Our classes comprise of couples aged 16 – 70 odds.   Some pupils join for the exercise, some for a joint pastime, and some just wanting to learn to dance.   A lot of guys are dragged along kicking & screaming and are very surprised at how much they enjoy it (must be a male competitive thing!)

An unexpected plus for most folk is the friendships they make and the social life that opens up for them.   Some pupils (now long time friends) would be lost without their weekly fix!  We like to promote a friendly casual and relaxed atmosphere at all our classes.

We have many years experience in teaching Ballroom and Latin American dancing and we are still learning with each new person who puts their “ two left feet” in our hands! (a phrase made by most as they come in the door.)

We are members of the Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance, as well as the Guild of Professional Teachers of Dance (www.gptd.co.uk)



The classes run all year round apart from the summer and Christmas breaks.  Couples can change their lesson nights from week to week if this suits their circumstances.  In addition to the weekly classes we run an optional monthly social dancing practise night for all pupils and we run summer and Christmas dances for pupils and friends.

We also have couples along who are preparing for weddings.  Bring along your special song, or we can give you some ideas and we'll arrange your dancing to suit.  We can also have you ready and dancing for holidays, special occasions or just for a good social night out.  Dancing is a great way to have fun and keep fit.

You dont even need to book to come to a class - the venues and times are detailed below - you're more than welcome to come along and find out for yourself how easy it is to learn to dance!!!

Above are all held in St Peters Hall Laighstonhall Hamilton ML3 8PD.  NB - Please note that the hall and car park are located at the back of St Peters Church, and access is by the second entrance on right in Buchanan Crescent.


All classes are only £5.00 per person per class.

Ballroom dances taught are Waltz, Slow Foxtrot, Quickstep, Tango, Viennese Waltzand Argentine Tango.  Latin American dances include Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble, Mambo, Salsa, Bossa Nova and Jive.
